Per me il ritratto è molto più della rappresentazione di un volto: è un incontro con l'essenza dell'essere umano. Nasce nell'istante in cui la persona dimentica di essere osservata e si manifesta nella propria autenticità, libera da pose e artifici. È nello stupore di un bambino, nel silenzio di uno sguardo, in un gesto involontario o in un dettaglio apparentemente insignificante che affiorano la storia, la cultura, i sogni e le fragilità di un'esistenza. Il ritratto diventa così un patto con la verità dell'anima, un dialogo con l'inconsapevole, capace di trasformare un frammento di tempo in una testimonianza profonda. In quell'attimo indisturbato, il visibile rivela l'invisibile e un singolo indizio può raccontare un'intera vita, persino quella che deve ancora essere scritta.
Author's Note
For me, a portrait is much more than the representation of a face: it is an encounter with the essence of the human being. It arises in the instant a person forgets being observed and reveals themselves in their authenticity, free from poses and artifice. It is in the wonder of a child, in the silence of a gaze, in an involuntary gesture, or in a seemingly insignificant detail that the history, culture, dreams, and fragilities of an existence emerge. The portrait thus becomes a pact with the truth of the soul, a dialogue with the unconscious, capable of transforming a fragment of time into a profound testimony. In that undisturbed moment, the visible reveals the invisible, and a single clue can tell the story of an entire life, even the one yet to be written.
